GARSHIELD PROTECTION BOARD

Description

GARSHIELD boards are typically semi rigid protection boards for all types of vertical torch applied modified bitumen membranes against mechanical stress and impact. It provides permanent protection to most waterproofing and damp proofing systems. Its high puncture resistance protects the waterproofing membrane from any impact by sharp aggregates during the back-fill process and other later settlements. Its own waterproofing characteristics will improve the overall waterproofing ability of the system.

– INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION
GARSHIELD boards are applied by either spot torching method that is a very slight propane torch welding can be done on the membrane, loose laid or the recommended cold applied self-adhesive at particular areas and the Protection Board shall be attached to the membrane. Mechanical fastening methods deployed to avoid displacement of the boards.
