SBS modified bitumen elastomeric waterproofing membranes manufactured from a rich mixture of bitumen and selected SBS (Styrene Butadiene Styrene) polymers blended together to obtain excellent waterproofing and low temperature flexibility properties. The polymerized bitumen coated onto a dimensionally stable reinforcement core of nonwoven spun bond polyester. The membrane has excellent tensile & tear strengths and has a high fatigue and puncture resistance. It is very flexible and easy to install and is suitable for use in areas where high structural movements are expected. Surfaced with H.D.P.E film on both sides.

– FUNCTIONS
GARPROOF membrane is used as double/single layer for waterproofing/damp proofing membrane for protection of various substrates in wide range of applications, such as Inverted Roofs & parapets, Terraces, balconies & patios, sunken slabs,bridges & tunnels, concrete foundations, tanking in basements, pile heads, swimming pools, airport aprons & ramp areas etc.

– INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION
The membranes are install fully bonded or loose-laid by torch welding. Clean the substrate, and prime with Garprimer SB and allow drying naturally. Torching done by skilled labour, controlled so that only the PE film melt and the asphalt coating is softened sufficient to bond the membrane. All lap joints are smooth and sealed using a heated round-nosed trowel by applying the heat of propane gas flame to the trowel. In loose-laid applications, only the lap joints, areas around penetrations (pipes etc.), up stands and a 30 cm wide strip around the perimeter of the work are fully bonded. Up stands and flashings should be installed using 1 M wide pieces cut from the length of the roll. (The overlap joints should be 10 cm at the sides and 15 cm at the end).
