GARPRIMER SOLVENT BASED (SB)

Description

GARPRIMER SB is an asphaltic primer is a cold applied solvent based stable bituminous primer compound suitable for use in roofing, damp proofing and waterproofing. Used as a surface dressing to masonry or concrete to improve the bond of bituminous materials.

– USES AND APPLICATION

GARPRIMER SB is suitable for asphalt roofing, damp proofing and water proofing below or above ground level. Specifically designed for application to concrete, masonry, metal and asphalt surfaces. Used as primer coat to receive membrane or liquid asphalts and asphalt products. Before applying GARPRIMER SB, the surface must be clean and free from moisture, oil, grease and any other foreign matters. After stirring GARPRIMER SB, apply by brush, roller or spray equipment then allow dry naturally. When localized discolored patches appear, recoat to achieve a uniform black finish.

– COVERAGE

Approximate rate: 0.3-0.5 kg/m2. The exact rate depends on the porosity and smoothness of the prepared surface.

– HEALTH AND SAFETY

Workers should wear protective masks, gloves and goggles during application. GARPRIMER SB contains volatile solvent and have low flash point thus, ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the working place. Keep at a distance Fires and naked flames.

– PACKING AND STORAGE

Packed in 180 Kg (200L) drums and 18kg (20L) pails. GARPRIMER SB should be stored in dry and shaded area in original packing. Always keep the container covered while working in order to prevent evaporation of solvent.
